Preparing For The 2020 Atlanta DeKalb Carnival

Hey Everyone! We are just months away from the 2020 Atlanta DeKalb Carnival and this is the perfect time to start preparing.  Preparation is a great way to ensure the journey to Atlanta DeKalb Carnival is as stress-free as possible. Here are some tips to help plan and organize your visit:

    1.)    BUY YOUR BUS OR PLANE TICKET EARLY

If you don’t live in the Atlanta area and will need to travel by airplane or bus, it is very important that you buy your tickets as early as possible. Purchasing your bus or plane tickets in advance, will assist in receiving better rates. Always consider that the Atlanta DeKalb Carnival is Memorial Day weekend and many people will be traveling. To prevent a price hike in tickets, try to get your plane and bus tickets as soon as you can.  A few travels sites that offer good deals are: Kayak, Priceline, or Expedia.

    2.)    REGISTER RIGHT AWAY FOR A MAS BAND

Mas Bands are the heart of the Carnival! Many Carnival thrill seekers, absolutely love participating in a Mas Bands. If you are considering joining a Mas Band, you should register now! Registering early with a mas band is essential because you may qualify for early registration discounts, exclusive event information (such as launch parties), and have a head start on knowing the bands selected band theme and the band's music selections.  One major benefit of joining a mas band is that you receive a new family of friends while you are headed down the road.  3.)    START AN EXCERCISE REGIMEN

       Whether it's yoga, Pilates, weight training, indoor cycling or boot camp, preparing for the Atlanta DeKalb Carnival by beginning an exercise regimen is a fantastic idea. If you are interested in participating in the parade or intend on dancing and wining all night long at the festival, why not ensure your body is at its optimal health? Exercise will assist in maintaining your stamina as you head down the road or walk around the parade and festival grounds. Always check with your personal healthcare professional before you start a new exercise regimen.

 4.) BUY FESTIVAL TICKETS AND RESERVE ACCOMMODATIONS
   Set the tone for your carnival planning and purchase your festival tickets early! The Atlanta DeKalb Carnival offers early bird tickets to the festival. However, they are for a limited time only. Save some money by purchasing your tickets today at this link!  Reserving your hotel accommodations is also an important part of planning. Rather you are traveling from a distance away or a carnival goer that would prefer accommodations closer to the venue, you may want to reserve your room asap. Last year, we had over 40,000 spectators at the Atlanta DeKalb Carnival, and many will be staying at the hotels near by.
